“ On my way to the Leighton hospital, I just noticed the sign then saw their trailer. On my way home, I stopped. We were the first ones there as they we're just opening. They have trailers and smokers in the back. They have BBQ pork, chicken, and brisket sandwiches. You could also purchase the pork and chicken by the lb. They also have side dishes. I got 4 pork sandwiches with their sweet BBQ sauce . It was 10.00, something a sandwich, but let me tell you, it was packed with pork. And 3 sides of coleslaw, which I didn't care for it is made with a creamy sauce. I also got the 2lbs of pork, which was 33.00 and it's all pork, No Fat"". Very good... I can't remember the whole menu, but I heard their chicken is very good also. Next time I pass through, im going to try the chicken. They open at 11 am, I believe, and my brother said that when he passed 2 weeks before, they were busy a lot of cars were there. I'm sure you could look at their menu online and call ahead with your order. It's worth the price if you like fresh smoked meats. ”
“ Sorry my photo wasn't the best, but you can see the brisket sliders and the Mac n cheese egg roll we got! It was all sooo delicious and we got to choose more than one sauce, which are amazing!! The ladies were so nice and interacted with my 15 month old son and he loved them and the food too! Then we got to sit at 1 out of 5 or 6 picnic benches right next to the creek! Great atmosphere, definitely go here! Will be going back FOR SURE!! ”
“ The first time I went there because they were open half a rack of ribs and corn bread good food for prices for really high it's if you want to splurge once in awhile. I paid like 24.25 for a half a rack of rib I think that's the only downfall for it cuz if you just want to push a sandwich or just a little bit of brisket you cant and cornbread I wanted to get the brisket but for brisket it's 52 and did not cut the brisket in pieces if you want just half a brisket or something you have to buy a big quarter of it.but over all food was great I would recommend. ”
“ Can't get enough! I'm on the carnivore diet. It's the best place to get good meat but I'm also not supposed to use any plant based. They have a gold (mustard-based) that is amazing. 10 out of 10! ”
“ The food was delicious and the staff were super awesome and friendly. Food is ready quickly, or you can order ahead of time if you don't want to have to wait. They have picnic tables in a shaded area by the creek if you want to stay there and eat. Great place to stop in on your way to the Poconos or hanging out close by in Jim Thorpe. ”
“ We stop here every time we visit The Mahoning drive-in. Their BBQ sandwiches seem to be very popular, but our personal favorite are their smoked, falling off the bone chicken drumsticks. They are seriously so delicious! They also offer dill pickle perogies! They upgraded their seating area since we visited last year, and you can now eat in a shady space down by the creek. It's a really nice experience all around. ”
“ Their food is delicious and worth stopping by. They are affordable. They take cash and credit/debit cards, and you can also place your order online. They have picnic tables near the creek if you choose to stay there and eat. ”
“ You'd never think such great BBQ could be found smack dab in the middle of Pennsylvania, but Big Creek is there to prove you wrong. These guys know what roadside barbecue is all about! Highly recommend the Bacon Loaded Potato and the Rib Tips (as pictured). ”
